摘要： An aluminum floor for fencing has an improved fπction surface with traction-enhancing grooves and is configured to reduce noise. Aluminum extrusions forming the floor define a flat surface but with senes of parallel grooves separated by non-grooved spaces In a preferred embodiment the grooves are essentially square cut. The grooves and spaces between the senes of grooves are configured so as to allow sliding on the floor with the essentially flat soles of a user's fencing shoes when desired but so as to gπp the soles with significant friction when the shoe is heavily weighted causing the sole to deform down into the grooves. The fencing floor is intended to lie over an existing floor as a series of easily connected floor sections. Rubbery sheet material is secured to the bottom of the fencing floor preferably in transverse strips directly beneath each joint and preferably at additional locations.

摘要： In the sport of fencing, with an electronic hits indicator, valid hits are indicated by acoustic or optical signals. In foil and sabre fencing, conductive metal fabrics and the like are additionally worn by the fencers to delimit the valid hit areas. Fencing also requires a piste with a conductive surface. Metal fabrics and meshes previously used for these are susceptible to corrosion and mechanical stress. The invention is therefore based on the problem of developing an improved conductive fabric for the sport of fencing without these disadvantages, which is suitable both for fencing clothing and fencing equipment. According to the invention, the conductive fabric comprises metal fibres and elastic, flexible polyester fibre yarn, enclosed in INOX metal fragments in a special side-by-side arrangement and type of weave. The risk of corrosion and rupture is reduced together with an improvement in conductivity. Along with this, the mobility of the fencers is enhanced and the durability of the pistes is improved. A major advantage is the possibility of colouring the polyester fibre yarns. This allows fencing competitions to be made more attractive for the public.

摘要： A weapon for a fencing discipline 1 is described, which is usable for sports or games, and which is suitable to be connected to a detection apparatus 2 provided with at least a first 21 and a second apparatus terminal 22. The fencing weapon 1 comprises a percussion element 11, having a percussion portion 12 suitable to deliver a hit on a target X, and an electrical device 10, incorporated in the weapon 1. The aforesaid electrical device 10 comprises a reference terminal Tr, adapted to be connected to the first apparatus terminal 21 to receive a reference electrical potential Vr, and a measuring terminal Tm, adapted to be connected to the second apparatus terminal 22 to supply an electrical measuring potential Vm. The electrical device 10 further comprises a first contact terminal Tc1 and a second contact terminal Tc2, arranged so as to come simultaneously into contact with the target X when the aforesaid percussion portion 12 delivers a hit on the target X.
