摘要： Method of forming a multiple balloon catheter includes extruding a tube and a plurality of ribs through a die to form a monolithic element that spans between first and second ends with the plurality of ribs extending along the length of the tube to define a corresponding number of a plurality of channels that extend along the length of the tube. Positioning a portion of the tube into a mold and constricting a proximal end portion and a distal end portion of the tube that is positioned in the mold. Inflating the tube to produce an inner balloon having a body portion that spans between proximal and distal end portions and cutting the inner balloon to separate the inner balloon from a remainder of the tube. Disposing an outer balloon including a plurality of holes around the inner balloon and aligning the plurality of holes with the plurality of channels.

摘要： A balloon catheter (100) includes a flexible elongated shaft (140) and a balloon (110) fixed to the distal portion of the shaft. The balloon includes an effective expansion portion (111) and at least one projection portion (120) on the effective expansion portion. The effective expansion portion possesses a cylindrical shape when the balloon is expanded, and the projection portion extends for a predetermined length along the axial direction of the balloon. The projection portion has first and second parts so that the inner surface of the first part of the balloon faces the inner surface of the second part of the balloon. The first and second parts project radially outwardly away from immediately adjacent parts of the balloon. 摘要： A peelable protective sheath and related assemblies/systems and methods are disclosed. The protective sheath may be used on a balloon catheter to protect the balloon and any coating thereon. The protective sheath may be peelable to make removal of the protective sheath easier. The peelable protective sheath may be inserted into a hemostatic valve and introducer while still disposed over the balloon of a balloon catheter to protect the balloon and any bioactive coating thereon from damage during insertion. The peelable protective sheath may be peeled from a proximal end to initiate removal. Alternatively, the peelable protective sheath may be peeled from a distal end of the peelable protective sheath as the balloon catheter is inserted through a hemostatic valve and introducer.
