摘要： A forehead support (12) for a mask assembly (10), comprising a frame connector (20) provided to a mask frame (14), a forehead cushion (16) support movably mounted to the frame connector (20) for generally linear movement between retracted and extended positions with respect to the frame connector (20), and an adjustment knob (40) movably mounted to the frame connector (20) and threadably engaged with the forehead cushion support (60) such that turning movement of the adjustment knob (40) causes the forehead cushion support (60) to be moved between the retracted and extended positions, wherein the adjustment knob (40) includes a resilient prong (54) having a ratchet bump (56), the ratchet bump (56) adapted to selectively engage a series of ridges (74) provided to the frame connector (20) to provide indexed incremental adjustment.

An embodiment of the forehead rest comprises a deformable resilient member (300) comprising a top surface (302) and a base (303) connected by two side walls (304, 305), said top surface (302) being substantially thicker than said side walls (304, 305), said deformable member (300) evenly distributing the pressure on the forehead of a patient that contacts said deformable resilient member (300), wherein said side walls (304, 305) are capable of folding under compression.

摘要： Die Erfindung betrifft eine Atemmaske zur Zufuhr eines Atemgases zu einem Maskenanwender. Die erfindungsgemässe Atemmaske umfasst eine Dichtlippeneinrichtung (2) zur Abdichtung einer Maskenauflagezone, einen Maskenbasiskörper (1) zur Bildung des Maskeninnenraumes sowie eine Anschlusseinrichtung (20) zum Anschluss wenigstens einer Atemgasleitung, wobei der Maskenbasiskörper und/oder die Anschlusseinrichtung mit wenigstens einer aus einem Elastomermaterial gebildeten Entkoppelungsstruktur versehen ist. Hierdurch wird auf vorteilhafte Weise eine Relativbewegung zwischen einem maskenbasiskörperseitigen Umfangsfussbereich der Dichtlippeneinrichtung und der Atemgasleitung in einem ausreichenden Bewegungsbereich erreicht.
