摘要： Apparatus, system and method for providing pressurized infusion of liquids and, more particularly, providing a stable and pressurized flow of fluid to the eye during surgery. Aspiration fluid may be received via an aspiration line at a first peristaltic pump, where aspiration fluid is transferred to a Venturi tank reservoir coupled to a second peristaltic pump. Fluid from a fluid source is provided via a third peristaltic pump to a pressurized infusion tank. A determination is made if the pressure in the pressurized infusion tank is at a predetermined level, where fluid may be transferred from the pressurized infusion tank to an irrigation line when pressure in the pressurized infusion tank is determined to be at the predetermined level. Alternate activation of a plurality of aspiration and irrigation lines are also provided.

摘要： A surgical suction device that uses positive pressure gas is shown and described. The surgical suction device includes an air amplifier. The air amplifier includes a structure defining a generally cylindrical cavity having a first opening at a first end and a second opening at a second end. The cylindrical cavity is defined by an inner wall of the cavity. The air amplifier includes an annular opening in the inner wall near the first end. The annular opening defines a jet opening adapted to allow a pressurized gas to flow out of the annular opening such that a low pressure region is produced at the first end and an amplified flow is produced at the second end. The annular opening is further configured such that the pressurized gas enters the cavity at an angle with respect to the inner wall of the cavity that is towards the second end.

• wherein at least a portion of the device exerts force onto the tissue for relieving tension on the area of tissue trauma, and wherein the device further comprises at least one force control element oriented along an axis of the sealant structure, wherein the axis is substantially in a transverse direction to an incision associated with the area of tissue trauma, the force control element being configured to provide control over an amount of force that the device applies to the tissue by limiting the amount of stretching that can be achieved by at least the flexible sealant structure.

摘要： The invention relates to an ophthalmo-surgical phacoemulsification device, comprising: an aspiration line suitable for conveying an aspiration fluid and particles of an eye lens produced by phacoemulsification; a suction vacuum pump by means of which the aspiration fluid and the particles can be sucked in by means of the aspiration line; and a flow limiter limiting the flow through the aspiration line, the flow rate being adjustable to a range between 5 milliliter per minute to 100 milliliter per minute, and the flow limiter being mounted upstream of the suction vacuum pump when seen in the direction of suction. The flow limiter comprises at least two pressure elements which can be positioned on an outer wall of the aspiration line such as to reduce the internal cross-section of the aspiration line, the pressure elements being arranged at a defined distance from each other and being movable in the direction of rotation about a common rotational axis.
