    • The present invention relates to a wheelchair (10) comprising a wheelchair frame (1) resting on wheels (2, 3) and supporting a seat (4), and a backrest frame (5) supporting a backrest (6), said backrest frame (5) being pivotally connected to said wheelchair frame (1) and comprising two lateral tubular elements (5a), wherein each tubular element (5a) comprises an upper end portion (5b) provided with a handle (5d) and a lower end portion (5c) pivotally mounted on an axis (7) supported on a support (11) fixedly connected to the wheelchair frame (1), characterized in that locking/unlocking means (12) are provided for preventing the lower end portion (5c) of at least one of said tubular elements (5a), and preferably of each one of said tubular elements, to pivot relative to the corresponding support (11) in a locked inclined position of the backrest frame (5), said locking/unlocking means (12) being configured so as to permit a stepless adjustment of the angle (α 0 ) between a plane (P1) defined by the backrest (6) and a plane (P2) defined by the seat (4) in said locked inclined position.

    • The invention relates to wheelchair (1) with a fixed non foldable frame (26), which forms attachment for front wheels (11) and rear wheels (1), and which includes a seat (27) where the frame (26) in connection to the attachment (2) for the rear wheels (10) includes two preferably parallel pipes (4,5), which end in an end bracket (6) and which in direction towards the front wheels (11) are connected by a coupling piece (7) and where the upper pipe (4) between the end bracket (6) and the coupling piece (7) forms attachment for the seat (27) and where the lower pipe (5) between the end bracket (6) and the coupling piece (7) forms attachment for an adjustable rear wheel suspension (9) and where the distance (12) between the pipes (4,5) is minimised and preferably less than the diameter of a pipe (4,5) more preferably smaller than 50 mm.
      It is moreover a part of the invention that the frame (26) forms attachment for the front wheels (11) since the front wheel suspension (3) is integrated in the frame (26), which includes a preferably cylindrical axle (16) for fastening of a front wheel (11) where the axle (16) goes out from the front wheel suspension (3) through an opening hole (28), which is preferably oval and in which the axle's (16) placement in one plane can be adjusted in a stepless way.
      With the invention it becomes possible to manufacture multi adjustable wheelchairs (1) with closed frames (26) and integrated impact robust front wheel suspension (3)

    • A wheelchair includes a seat back and a frame rail. The seat back can be moved relative to the frame rail between a folded position and an unfolded and locked position. A first releasable locking mechanism releasably locks the seat back in the unfolded and locked position. A second releasable locking mechanism releasably locks the seat back at any selected one of a plurality of different angles relative to the frame rail. The seat back can be folded and unfolded without adjusting the seat back angle. The seat back has a portion that slides along the frame rail as the seat back angle is adjusted. The length of the seat back varies as the seat back angle is adjusted. The seat back includes a back cane that is pivotally connected with the frame rail by a pivot bracket. The back cane is fixedly connected to the pivot bracket. The pivot bracket pivots relative to the frame rail when the seat back is moved from the unfolded position to the folded position.
