摘要： An eye shield for releasable mounting to a face of a patient, used to inhibit direct pressure being applied to an eye or eyes of the patient during a medical procedure. The eye shield includes a resiliently deformable base having at least one aperture extending therethrough that corresponds to the position of an eye or eyes of the patient, and a curved, flexible, transparent cover plate attached to an upper surface of the base and extending over the at least one aperture. The cover plate includes first and second eye cover portions joined by an integral hinge member therebetween. The eye shield is attached to the face around the orbital rims of the respective eyes and the first and second eye cover portions are configured to pivot relative to each other around the hinge member and flex along their respective spans to generally conform to the shape of the face.

The assembly includes a mechanism for holding the first frame and first lens in front of a user's face. The second frame has a mechanism for attachment to the first frame, to hold the second frame between the user's eyes and the first lens. The at least one second lens is carried by the second frame. The second frame includes a first frame portion that mounts the second lens and a second frame portion overmolded onto the first frame portion defining portions of the outside surface area of the second frame. The first frame portion is of a relatively hard material and the second frame portion is of a relatively soft material. Strap anchors include louvers for directing air at side vents of the first frame.; The first frame includes a central elevated vent to distribute air over top vent openings of the first frame. 摘要： An inflatable mask with two ocular cavities can seal against a user's face by forming an air-tight seal around the periphery of the user's eye socket. The sealed air-tight ocular cavity can be pressurized to take ocular measurements. The mask can conform to the contours of a user's face by inflating or deflating the mask. In addition, the distance between the user and a medical device (e.g. an optical coherence tomography instrument) can be adjusted by inflating or deflating the mask. Also disclosed herein is an electronic encounter portal and an automated eye examination. Other embodiments are also described.

A retention band (200) extends from the left and right edges (32) of the left and right wings (30) to provide a secure means for retaining the lens (20) on the face of the wearer (W). A cylindrical container (300) provided for stowage of the eye protector assembly (10) in a rolled-up orientation is also described.
