The absorbent article includes an absorbent assembly having a liquid permeable inner layer, an outer layer, and an absorbent body between the inner and outer layers. A pair of ears extend transversely outward from opposite sides of the absorbent assembly in a back waist region, each of the ears having a primary first fastening-component that is selectively engagable with a primary second fastening-component in a front waist region. There is a pair of spaced-apart secondary first fastening-components disposed on the outer layer in the front waist region, each of the secondary first fastening-components being selectively engageable with the secondary second fastening-components. Each secondary first fastening-component fits into a fastener region, wherein each fastener region is defined by an outline. Each outline has a waist edge and an opposite leg edge connected by an outer edge and an inner edge. The length of the outer edge is shorter than the length of the inner edge.

The absorbent article(10) has a liquid-permeable cover(12), a liquid-impermeable baffle(14), and an absorbent(16) positioned therebetween to form a pad(18). The pad(18) has a central portion(20), longitudinally-extending sides(22,24), and a pair of relatively stiff tabs(26,28) extending laterally outward from the longitudinal sides(22,24). The pad(18) has a body-facing surface(32) and a garment-facing surface(34). The absorbent article(10) further includes adhesive(40,42,44) for securing the pad(18) to the crotch portion of an undergarment. The adhesive(40,42,44) is secured on the garment-facing surface(34) of the pad(18) and is present on each of the tabs(26,28). Release paper(46) covers the adhesive.

摘要： A sanitary napkin having a body-side adhesive is disclosed having an absorbent core with at least one body-facing surface designed to be positioned against the wearer's body and a pressure sensitive adhesive secured to the body-facing surface. In one aspect, the article is limited in dimension and includes a hot melt adhesive to be pressed against the wearer's pudendal region and characterized by a midblock Tg of less than -10° C., a G' (storage modulus) less than 15x104 dynes/cm2 at 10 rad/s. (25° C.), a G'' (loss modulus) of 1 to 6x104 dynes/cm2, a tensile strength greater than 10 psi, and requiring no subsequent curing operation after cooling. In one aspect, the article includes the adhesive to be pressed against the wearer's pudendal region has an adhesive weight less than 1500 mg per square inch and a tan delta residing inside a quadrangle ABCD wherein said quadrangle ABCD is defined by graphically plotting frequency in radians per second versus tan delta referenced to about 20° Centigrade of the adhesive, the quadrangle ABCD having as points A and D a tan delta of about 0.01 and about 0.6 respectively at a frequency of about 0.1 radians per second and points B and C at a tan delta of about 0.1 and about 1.7 respectively at a frequency of about 1000 radians per second.
