摘要： A system for removing and donning a disposable absorbent article by using a separate robotic device includes an absorbent assembly having an inner layer that partly defines a body-facing surface, an outer layer that defines a garment-facing surface, and an absorbent body disposed between the inner and outer layers. The absorbent assembly also includes a pair of ears extending transversely outward from the opposite sides of the absorbent assembly in the back waist region, each of the ears including a body-facing surface with a primary first fastening-component that is selectively engageable with a primary second fastening-component in the front waist region of the absorbent assembly in a wear configuration of the article, and a garment-facing surface opposite the body-facing surface. The absorbent article also includes a manipulation-enablement feature configured to assist the post-retail manipulation of the absorbent article by the robotic device.

摘要： A disposable garment having enhanced extensibility around waist opening is disclosed. The disposable garment has a front region, a back region and a crotch region between the front region and the back region. The disposable garment comprises a chassis and seams. The chassis comprises a topsheet, a backsheet joined with the topsheet, and an absorbent core interposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The chassis has a central panel having side edges and a waist edge, and an ear panel extending laterally outwardly from each side edge of the central panel in the front region and the back region. The ear panel is rendered extensible to form an extensible ear. The extensible ear has a higher end edge, a lower end edge, an inner side edge, and an outer side edge. The outer side edge is non-parallel to the inner side edge, and is non-parallel to a longitudinal center line of the garment, and projects laterally outwardly proximate the higher end edge. A lateral width of the extensible ear between the inner side edge and the outer side edge is greater proximate the higher end edge than proximate the lower end edge. The seams join each ear panel along the outer side edge to a corresponding portion in the opposite region of the disposable garment so as to form one waist opening and two leg openings. The seam is non-parallel to the longitudinal canter line.

摘要： Procédé de fabrication d'un vêtement jetable à partir d'une structure de base fendue sous fusion et dotée d'une paire de soudures latérales. On forme les soudures en pliant l'entre-jambes de la structure de base de manière que les zones latérales longitudinales des parties avant et arrière soient superposées afin de former des zones de soudure. Ensuite, on soumet chaque zone de soudure à un traitement par ultrasons de façon à couper le matériau de la zone de soudure dans une première zone, et simultanément à coller le matériau de la zone de soudure à une zone marginale voisine de la première zone, afin de former une soudure sans bavure s'étendant au maximum sur un seizième de pouce, de préférence un trente-deuxième de pouce, à partir du vêtement jetable. Dans un mode préféré de réalisation, cette soudure forme une jointure entre les parties avant et arrière de la structure de base. La zone de soudure sera constituée de couches de matériau polymère, et, selon un mode préféré de réalisation, elle sera constituée de bandes non tissées de fibres en polypropylène à 100 %.

摘要： A method of making and a disposable garment manufactured from a fusion-slit chassis having a pair of seams. The seams are formed by folding the chassis in the crotch portion so that the longitudinal side regions of the front portion and rear portion are superposed to form seaming areas; each seaming area is treated with ultrasonic energy sufficient to sever the material of the seaming area in a first area while simultaneously bonding the material of the seaming area in a marginal area adjacent the first area to form a flangeless seam which extends from the disposable garment 1/16'' or less, preferably 1/32'' or less, and in a preferred embodiment will form a splice between the front portion and rear portion of the chassis. The seaming area will consist of layers of polymeric material and in a preferred embodiment will consist of nonwoven webs of 100 % polypropylene fibers.
