摘要： A reverse shoulder joint prosthesis (1) for location between a humerus and a scapula comprised a ball (5) to be fixed to the scapula and a humeral stem 6 to be fixed to the humerus. The prosthesis comprises a first cup (2), a second cup (3) and a plate (4) retained between said cups. The first cup is free to move about the ball. The plate has a trunion (16) adapted to connect to the humeral stem through an aperture in the second cup. The plate is free to move between the cups. The prosthesis has a first phase of movement in which the plate moves between the cups and a distinct second phase of movement in which the first cup moves on the ball. The shoulder joint prosthesis provides an extended range of movement through the provision of two motion phases while minimising wear, scapula infringement and instability.

摘要： An endoprosthetic device for replacement of a diseased or damaged scapular glenoid fossa. The device includes a glenosphere or a glenosocket member, or provides the option of mating a glenosphere or glenosocket member via a Morse taper. The device also features opposing fixation plates that grip resected scapular area anteroposteriorly to fixate the device through use of a plurality of setscrews. An Oblique setscrew that engages the scapular body inferiorly may be added for improved fixation. A porous mesh surface treatment on the inner faces of the fixation plates may be utilized to improve osteoconductivity.

摘要： A glenoid system (100) includes a baseplate (102) configured to attach to a glenoid cavity of a patient. In a primary configuration, a biocompatible plastic liner (332) can snap into a circumferential groove (120) on the baseplate, to attach to a lateral facing surface (104) of the baseplate, at one or more locations around the groove. In a reverse configuration, a glenosphere (544, 644) can attach to an adapter (542, 642), which in turn can attach to the lateral-facing surface of the baseplate. The adapter can introduce lateral and/or angular offsets between the baseplate and the glenosphere, which can correct for unwanted offsets or inclinations. A middle peg extension (752) can screw onto a medial end of the middle peg (114), which can offer different combinations of peg length and peg material. The baseplates can be made available in various discrete sizes, each of which has the same distance between the middle peg and an inferior screw hole (112).

A glenosphere component has a bore formed therein, with a retaining ring secured within the bore in the glenosphere component. A screw cap has a shaft positioned in the bore of the metaglene component, and a locking flange extending outwardly from the shaft so as to cover each of the number of screw holes of the metaglene component at least partially, the screw cap being retained in the glenosphere component by means of the retaining ring.
