摘要： The present invention relates to an odor control material consisting of a water-insoluble particulate odor control agent and a thermoplastic water-soluble carrier matrix encapsulating the odor control agent. The carrier matrix dissolves when in contact with an aqueous solution, such as urine and the odor control material is obtained by means of thermoforming. The invention relates also to a method for the preparation of the odor control material and the use of the odor control material in absorbent products. The present odor control material minimizes dusting problems caused by particulate odor control agents in production processes.

摘要： A method is disclosed for forming an absorbent core. The method includes depositing a mixture of superabsorbent and fiberized pulp onto a carrier sheet and then wrapping the carrier sheet around the mixture to form an absorbent strip. The absorbent strip is cut into a plurality of absorbent members. Surge members are intermittently secured to a continuous bodyside liner and both are then attached to a bottom surface of the absorbent members. Elastic members are aligned on the continuous bodyside liner adjacent to each of the absorbent members. A continuous outer cover is secured over the elastic members and to a top surface of each of the absorbent members while being joined to the continuous bodyside liner to form an absorbent core web. The absorbent core web is then severed to form individual absorbent cores.

摘要： The production of a sandwiched non-woven material from at least two cover non-woven material layers made from chemical fibres, or natural fibres and an inner intermediate layer of pulp fibres is known. After the superimposition of the non-woven material layers, the composite is placed in a hydrodynamic needling device where the connection and fixing of the layers occurs. According to the invention, a more voluminous and hence softer, non-woven end product of the above type may be produced, whereby the lower of the laid, formed and thus produced cover non-woven materials have the volume thereof increased before the application of the pulp layer. The above is achieved by means of a compression of the non-woven material having a given width or by calandering, by means of, for example, geared engaging rollers, or additional pre-water needling.
