摘要： Sparse arrays of transducer elements may be beneficial in providing ultrasound transducer probes with a wide total aperture while containing a manageable number of transducer elements. Sparse arrays made with bulk piezoelectric materials or with arrays of micro-elements can be effectively with ping-based multiple aperture ultrasound imaging techniques to perform real-time volumetric imaging.

摘要： A dual-mode ultrasound system provides real-time imaging and therapy delivery using the same transducer elements of a transducer array. The system may use a multichannel driver to drive the elements of the array. The system uses a real-time monitoring and feedback image control of the therapy based on imaging data acquired using the dual-mode ultrasound array (DMUA) of transducer elements. Further, for example, multi-modal coded excitation may be used in both imaging and therapy modes. Still further, for example, adaptive, real-time refocusing for improved imaging and therapy can be achieved using, for example, array directivity vectors obtained from DMUA pulse-echo data.

摘要： A hand-held medical ultrasound apparatus (10), in particular for ultrasound computed tomography of the breast, comprises an ultrasound transducer (1), a reflector (2) and an indicator (311,321, 312) enabling the indication of a relative position and/or orientation between the transducer and the reflector. In a first embodiment, the transducer and the reflector are attached to a mechanical structure comprising a first frame (33) and a second frame (34), which allow to adjust the distance (d) between the transducer and the reflector in order to adapt to the shape of the breast. In a second embodiment, the tranducer and the reflector are not mechanically connected and a position and/or orientation sensor is provided to determine a relative position and/or orientation between the transducer and the reflector. In a third embodiment, thin resonant reflector layers are applied to introduce acoustic signatures in the tracked reflector signals.

摘要： Disclosed are a probe apparatus, a medical instrument having the same, and a method of controlling the probe apparatus, in which a medical probe apparatus includes a main body; and a head which is detachably provided in the main body, and includes a transducer array configured to output an ultrasound for diagnosis of an object, the main body including: a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal to and from the transducer array through a plurality of channels; and at least one processor configured to control the transceiver to transmit a predetermined test signal to the transducer array of the head mounted to the main body, determine a probe type corresponding to the transducer array of the mounted head based on a feedback signal received through the transceiver in response to the test signal, and make the probe apparatus operate corresponding to the determined probe type. Thus, a transducer having various shapes is selectively mounted to an ultrasound probe, and an operation automatically optimized to the mounted probe type is possible without additional parts or costs.

摘要： Acoustic energy is delivered to innervated vascular that contributes to renal sympathetic nerve activity, such as innervated tissue of the renal artery and abdominal aorta. Focused acoustic energy is delivered via an intravascular device of sufficient power to ablate innervated renal or aortal tissue. Focused acoustic energy may be delivered via an intravascular or extracorporeal device to image and locate target innervated renal or aortal tissue.
