摘要： A specimen retrieval apparatus includes an elongated tubular member defining a lumen therethrough and having an end effector disposed at a distal end thereof. The end effector includes a shaft defining a longitudinal axis, the shaft including a lumen extending therethrough. The lumen of the shaft communicates with the lumen of the elongated tubular member. A suction member is disposed at a distal end of the shaft in communication with the lumen of the shaft. The suction member is configured to retain a tissue specimen thereon. A sleeve is disposed about the shaft and is movable with respect to the shaft from a proximal to a distal position. A specimen retrieval bag is coupled to the sleeve. The bag is deployable from an undeployed position wherein the bag is disposed about the sleeve to an extended position wherein the bag is deployed over the tissue specimen.

摘要： Described herein are a sterile drape and adapter for use with a robotic surgical system, for example, during spinal surgery. In certain embodiments, the sterile drape and adapter cover a robotic surgical arm and prevent contamination of a sterile field. The sterile drape may attached to the robotic arm via a sterile adapter that ensures the drape is tightly stretched over the tool holder and robot interface to provide a structure that provides for repeatable and rigid positioning of the sterile drape. Tightly stretching the drape over the sterile adapter and tightening the tool holder to the robotic arm using, for example, a tightening screw, reduces the likelihood of folds in the drape between the told holder and robot interface. Thus, errors between the robot model and the actual situation because of the position of the tool holder relative to the robot interface are minimized.

摘要： The present invention is a female condom with an extended shield that can cover and seal the external genitalia to prevent sperm and disease transmissions during coitus. The construction of the present invention involves sealing of the double layered membranous films in an omega or similar shape to create a tubular and a shield portions, followed by applications of adhesive and releasing sheets onto the exterior of both shields before it is cut into the final product. The tubular portion will form the protective barrier for vagina (condom) while the shield portion, which adheres to the external genitalia, will prevent the seepage of body fluid. The tubular portion may be inverted to serve as a male condom. Double tubular portions are constructed for unconventional sexual activities. Transverse and longitudinal folds are created to enlarge the tubular portion. The female condom may be shaped, textured, coloured and flavoured according to the users' demand.
