    • According to an aspect of the invention, a surgical stabilizer plate (121) is provided, the surgical stabilizer plate comprising a plate portion (122) for stabilizing a human or animal spine by being affixed to two or more different vertebral bodies, the plate portion comprising a proximal side, a distal side and a plate opening accessible from the proximal side, the surgical stabilizer plate (121), the surgical stabilizer plate (121) further comprising a plurality of fastening portions adapted to be anchored in the different vertebral bodies, at least one of one of the fastening portions (124) being rigidly connected to the plate portion and comprising a sheath element with a longitudinal opening that is accessible from a proximal side and opens into the plate opening, whereby the plate opening forms a mouth of the longitudinal opening, and at least one hole (14) that reaches from the longitudinal opening to an outside, the stabilizer plate further comprising per fastening portion a thermoplastic element (21) inserted or insertable in the longitudinal opening and capable of being liquefied by for example mechanical energy acting on the thermoplastic element, wherein the hole is positioned so that liquefied thermoplastic material is pressable through the hole into bone tissue of the vertebral body in which the fastener is to be anchored, wherein the at least one fastening portion comprises a stabilizing structure capable of absorbing mechanical loads on the stabilizer plate.

    • The present application relates to a coaptation plate comprising a core (100) and an overmould (200), the core (100) comprising at least one window (107) which is designed to at least partially extend over a fracture which separates a first portion of the osseous tissue from a second, the window (107) being positioned between two openings through which a fastening screw (103, 105, 106, 108) passes, wherein one of said openings lies at least partially within a proximal portion (101) of the core and the other opening lies at least partially within a distal portion (102) of the core, the overmould (200) enclosing the core (100) and forming at least one upper layer (201) and one lower layer (202) on either side of the core (100), the window (107) defining polymer material links that pass through the core (100) and connect the upper layer (201) and the lower layer (202), thus ensuring that the overmould (200) is anchored in the core (100).
