摘要： The object of the invention is a material handling device or crane comprising a support frame with rail wheels, the material handling device or crane comprising a rail support frame (1) for mounting the material handling device movably on rails (2) provided on a foundation, and an upper carriage (4) provided with material handling means (3). The rail support frame (1) comprises two elongated rail units (6a and 6b) provided with rail wheels (5), the rail units being intended to be arranged in the direction of the rails (2), and a transversal intermediate structure (8) interconnecting the elongated rail units (6a and 6b). One of the elongated rail units (6a) is connected to the transversal intermediate structure (8) by means of a pivot joint (9) such, that one of the elongated rail units (6) can turn in a tuning motion in relation to the transversal intermediate structure (8) about such a pivot axis (10), which is essentially parallel to the rotation axes (11) of the rail wheels (5). The material handling device comprises turning motion inhibitor means (12), which are switchable into an inhibiting position for preventing the turning motion of the first elongated rail unit (6a) in relation to the transversal intermediate structure (8), and which, correspondingly, are switchable into a releasing position for enabling the turning motion of the first elongated rail unit (6a) in relation to the transversal intermediate structure (8).
