    • An omni-directional, collinear, vertical base station antenna having an adjustable or variable radiation beam tilt capability. Termination at the drive or feed point is provided by an adjustable, capacitive coupling at the feed point between the conductive elements of a feed structure (20) and a radiator assembly (10) for adjusting the physical position of the feed point and thereby the phase of the feed points relative to the upper and lower portions of the antenna, to alter the deflection angle of the radiation produced.
      Signal feed means, having first and second conductive feed elements (22, 24), is connectable to a signal feed line to couple a signal between the feed line and the radiator assembly. Adjustable support and control mechanism (50) supports said elongated radiator assembly and said feed means for relative movement therebetween to effect selective adjustment of the feed point of said capacitive coupling means along the length of said elongated dipole radiator assembly to thereby effect adjustment of the beam angle of the radiation pattern.

    • A multi-resonator notch filter incorporates a variable impedance transmission line (12) with impedance values going from a relatively low value and increasing upward to a relatively high value then back down to a relatively low value again. A plurality of resonant cavities (22) is coupled to the relatively high central impedance line section (18) of the filter at odd multiples of quarter wavelength intervals. Other resonators (24) can be coupled to lower impedance sections of the transmission line. The locations of selected resonators on the quarter wavelength intervals can be altered thereby increasing and decreasing the nominal quarter wavelength intervals of selected internal pairs by a predetermined amount thereby providing acceptable levels of performance with fewer resonators.

    • A dielectric resonator loaded cavity filter (100) comprises a housing (101) having an exterior (102) an an interior (103), the housing interior (103) including at least two adjacent cavities (104) having dielectric resonators (112) mounted therein.
      A transverse partition (105) having a coupling window (106) separates the adjacent cavities (104). The coupling window (106) includes opposing sidewalls (107, 108). A conductive material coupling adjusting screw (109) extends from the housing exterior (102) and penetrates a first sidewall (107) and is adjustable from the housing exterior (102) to extend from the first sidewall (107) to the opposing second sidewall (107).
      Alternative embodiments include a coupling disk (503 in figs. 4, 5) being interposed between opposing sidewalls (504, 505 of the transverse partition (105), and a coupling strip (701 in figs. 6, 7) extending from a shoulder portion (704) of a second opposing sidewall (707).
