    • The invention relates to an access system (2) for a vehicle (1 ). The system comprises a pivotable door (3) mountable in the body of the vehicle and a pivotable lid (6) mountable in the chassis of the vehicle for covering at least one step (9) adjacent to the door. The system further comprises a means (10) for sensing the position of the door (3) relative to its pivot axis, a member (11 ) for automatically pivoting the lid (6) around its pivot axis, and a means (12, 15) for transmitting an signal emitted from the door sensing means (10) to the lid pivoting member (11 ) so as to position the lid (6) relative to its pivot axis as a function of the sensed position of the door (3).

    • The invention relates to a door braking device for the door of a vehicle, in particular a truck, said door braking device comprising a bar (1) being movable between an extended position in which the door is fully opened, and a retracted position in which the door is closed, and a brake surface (2) being biased towards the movable bar (1) by means of a spring member (3) providing a recoil force being proportional to a recoil length of the spring member, such that the brake surface (2) exerts a brake force on the movable bar (1) for braking a movement of the door. At least one link member (4, 4’) is pivotably arranged to transmit the recoil force from the spring member (3) to the brake surface (2), wherein the link member (4, 4’) has at least a minimum pivotal position corresponding to a minimum contribution to the recoil length of the spring (3), and a maximum pivotal position corresponding to a maximum contribution to the recoil length of the spring (3) being greater than said minimum contribution to the recoil length, said minimum and maximum contributions to the recoil length resulting in a minimum and a maximum contribution to the resulting brake force, respectively.
