The remote control device comprises a remote control unit (10) and a remote-controlled unit (20) designed in such a manner that the remote control unit may transmit control signals and in that the remote-controlled unit may receive and react upon said control signals. The remote control unit (10) comprises operating means for selecting a remote-controlled unit (20) and the selection of a remote-controlled unit by said remote control unit is indicated by an activation of the selected remote-controlled unit. Furthermore, said operating means comprise selecting means (44, 45) that are adapted for visual signalling. Further, the remote control unit (10) and the remote-controlled unit (20) may each contains a master key, and the remote-controlled unit (20) may comprise means for removing its code. The code and the configuration of the remote control unit may be transmitted to an additional remote control unit.

A plurality of channels may be used for the transmission, a first unit performs the steps of detecting a vacant channel and transmitting a signal via said vacant channel, and at least one other unit performs the step of scanning the channels for transmitted signals. The master unit waits for a reply when having transmitted said signal, and if no reply or an erroneous reply is received said master unit proceeds with the step of detecting a vacant channel by jumping to another channel.

摘要： The method involves transmitting a signal with a message part indicative of later signal transmission time from a transmitter to a receiver. The transmitter and the receiver are brought into a special mode e.g. a sleep mode after receiving and transmitting a conformation signal, respectively. The transmitter and the receiver are brought back to the normal operating mode at-or before- the indicated time of transmission.
