    • A packing (4) for sealing a doctor blade chamber (3), where the packing (4) includes a sharp rail (7) for sealing abutment against a screen roller. Alternatively, or additionally, the wall (11) is running curving from the rail (7) to the sealing surface (12) for reduced deformation of the sealing surface (12) under pressure action (9).

    • There is described a method and a system for cleaning an ink chamber (1) of a printing unit. The system includes a storage tank (10) which via a high-pressure pump (9) is connected with a hydrophore (2). In the hydrophore a high pressure is built up, and the hydrophore is connected with cleaning nozzles (40) via a valve (5). Thus it becomes possible to inject a shot of cleaning liquid into the chamber by switching the valves (5). The cleaning nozzles are preferably designed as a mushroom-shaped plug (40) with a stem (41) which is mounted in the chamber wall and which has a circular domed top (43) of elastic, resilient material. When injecting cleaning liquid, the elastic plug will spray cleaning liquid out into the chamber, and after shutting off the pres­sure, there will be a self-closing effect.

    • The invention describes a sheet offset machine in which may be applied an air-drying ink/varnish. The invention furthermore concerns a drying unit that may be used for drying air-drying ink/varnish. The drying unit is disposed in connection with a cylinder surface and includes an integrated ventilator with suction and exhaust duct. These are used for sucking in fresh air and for exhausting used air having swept a wet print on the print carrier. The ventilator is connected to nozzles having an elongated nozzle orifice oriented in parallel with the centre axis of the cylinder surface. The nozzle orifice is provided immediately opposite the cylinder surface for blowing an air stream towards counter pressure on the print carrier while it is disposed on the cylinder surface. By using such a system is achieved an efficient and energy economical drying of the applied inks/varnishes.
