    • The purpose of the present invention is to increase separation efficiency when separating oil mist contained in target gas from the gas. In order to achieve the purpose, the present invention uses a rotor 31 that separates oil mist from target gas (blow-by gas). This rotor 31 includes a separation disk group having separation disks 34 made with a plurality of truncated cone shape plate members layered. The separation disk group includes a first space (hollow part formed with attachment opening 34a) and a second space (gaps between separation disks 34), the first space being formed on a rotation center side of the rotor 31 and the second space being formed between the separation disks that are laid over and being in communication with the first space. The first space has disposed an oil introducing portion (gap between the upper end of the spindle 32 and the upper side sealing member 42) that introduces oil. Oil is introduced from the oil introducing portion and target gas is introduced into the first space, target gas and oil introduced from the oil introducing portion are made to flow from the first space to the second space to be discharged outward from an outer peripheral edge of the separation disk group, while rotating the rotor 31.

    • An oil separator of the present invention is aimed, even if the oil separator is inclined, to restrain waving of oil caused by introduced gas and to maintain a high cleaning performance for gas. An oil separator 2 of the present invention includes: a plurality of separation disks that are rotatable together with a spindle 32 and that are laminated in the spindle 32; a nozzle 37 that injects oil to rotate the spindle; a lower case 12 that includes a tubular member 17 and a communication tube portion 16, the tubular member 17 being configured to introduce blow-by gas, the communication tube portion 16 being configured to discharge separated oil; an upper case 13 that is mounted to the lower case from above and that forms a chamber; and a partition member 27 that partitions the chamber into a lower chamber and an upper chamber, and that forms a communication port 43 around the spindle at a height between the nozzle and the separation disks, the communication port guiding the blow-by gas. The tubular member 17 includes an introduction inlet and an introduction outlet for blow-by gas, the introduction inlet being located outside of the lower case, the introduction outlet being located in a proximity of a lower side of the nozzle.
