    • Disclosed is a mix box for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, said mix box being used to incorporate additives into an exhaust gas flow and comprising at least one inlet tube, at least one outlet tube and a housing for accommodating the inlet tube and the outlet tube, wherein: the housing delimits a volume of the mix box in relation to the surroundings; the inlet tube has an inflow section located inside the housing, which inflow section is provided with at least one inflow opening for introducing the exhaust gas into the housing; the outlet tube has a metering device designed as an injection nozzle at the end of said outlet tube and has an outflow section located inside the housing, which outflow section has a length (La) and is provided with at least one outflow opening for discharging the exhaust gas from the housing; a flow zone is provided between the inlet tube and the outlet tube and the flow zone, over at least 30 % of its length (La), is free of flow guiding elements which deflect the flow in a circumferential direction and which have an outer face and an inner face inside the volume.

    • The invention relates to a mixer 1 for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine for mixing additives into an exhaust gas flow, with at least one inlet pipe 2 having a pipe axis 2.1, with at least one outlet pipe 3 having a pipe axis 3.1 and with a housing 4 for receiving the inlet pipe 2 and the outlet pipe 3, wherein the outlet pipe 3 has an inner part 3.2 which is arranged within the housing 4 and is provided with at least one outflow opening 3.3 for the purpose of conducting the exhaust gas out of the housing 4, wherein the housing 4 has a first housing part 4.1 with a first housing edge 4a and at least one second housing part 4.2 with a second housing edge 4b, wherein the two housing parts are at least partially connected via the housing edge 4a, 4b, and in that the inlet pipe 2 has an inner part 2.2 which is arranged within the housing 4 and is provided with at least one inlet opening 2.3 for the purpose of introducing the exhaust gas into the housing 4, wherein a) the respective housing edge 4a, 4b has at least two formations 6.1 – 6.4, each having a centre axis 6a, 6b, and/or b) the respective housing part 4.1, 4.2 has at least two rim holes 7.1 - 7.4, each having a centre axis 7a, 7b, and the respective pipe has bearing points 2.4, 2.5, 3.4, 3.5 via which said pipe is mounted within the formations 6.1, 6.2 or within the rim holes 7.1, 7.2, wherein i) the respective pipe is formed symmetrically with respect to the design of the bearing points 2.4, 2.5, 3.4, 3.5, and, for the purpose of installation, can be mounted in at least two different positions R1, R2 in the respective formation 6.1, 6.2, or ii) the inlet pipe 2 and the outlet pipe 3 are of identical design with respect to the design of the bearing points 2.4, 2.5, 3.4, 3.5, or iii) the two housing parts 4.1, 4.2 are connectable in a plurality of positions S1, S2 relative to each other via the housing edge 4a, 4b.

    • The invention relates to a mixing device (1) for integration into an exhaust pipe (4.1, 4.2) of an internal combustion engine and for mixing an exhaust gas stream (T), which device is formed from a housing (2) having a tubular wall (2.1) and a mid-axis (2.2) that can be aligned parallel to the exhaust pipe (4.1, 4.2) and from an intermediate wall (3) which is aligned transversely with respect to the mid-axis (2.2), wherein the intermediate wall (3) divides the housing (2) and has an inflow side (3.1) and an outflow side (3.2), wherein at least one inflow opening (E1) is provided in the intermediate wall (3), via which the exhaust gas stream (T) can at least partly flow from the inflow side (3.1) of the intermediate wall (3) to the opposite outflow side (3.2) of the intermediate wall (3), wherein the at least one inflow opening (E1) is placed eccentrically with respect to the mid-axis (2.2) and is brought close to a wall section (W1) of the tubular wall (2.1), wherein a flow guide element (S2) having a longitudinal axis (L2) is provided on the outflow side (3.2), which at least partly bounds a mixing chamber (2.3) with the intermediate wall (3) and by means of which an at least partial deflection of the exhaust gas stream (T) in a radial direction in relation to the mid-axis (2.2) can be effected, wherein the flow guide element (S2) has at least two outflow openings (A1, A2) and, by means of the flow guide element (S2), the exhaust gas stream (T) coming from the inflow opening (E1) can be guided to the at least two outflow openings (A1, A2), wherein the outflow openings (A1, A2) are placed eccentrically with respect to the mid-axis (2.2) and brought close to a common wall section (W2) of the tubular wall (2.1), wherein the wall section (W2) is arranged opposite to the wall section (W1) with respect to the mid-axis (2.2), and wherein the outflow openings (A1, A2) are arranged on opposite sides of the flow guide element (S2) with respect to the longitudinal axis (L1, L2), wherein, with respect to the mid-axis (2.2), the first partial stream (T3) can be can at least partly guided in the anticlockwise direction and a second partial stream (T4) can at least partly be guided in the clockwise direction out of the outflow openings (A1, A2).
