    • A network node and a method performed thereby for controlling operation of a low power node are provided. The network node and the low power node are operable in a wireless communication network, wherein the low power node has at least two modes of operation, an active mode where the low power node is in full operation, and a passive mode where the low power node is discoverable by wireless devices in the network but not available for initial access or incoming handovers. The method comprises receiving (210) a measurement report from at least one wireless device, the measurement report comprising a measurement related to the low power node; and determining (220) the operation mode of the low power node based on the received measurement report. The method further comprises when the current operation mode of the low power node is passive and the determined operation mode is active, changing (230) the operation mode of the low power node to active mode.

    • In certain embodiments, a network node serves a wireless device capable of carrier aggregation involving a primary cell, PCell, and at least one secondary cell, SCell. The network node determines (304) a target quality for the wireless device to achieve with respect to at least the PCell; determines (308) a PCell interruption probability (e.g., probability of missed ACK/NACK in uplink) corresponding to an SCell measurement cycle that can be used by the wireless device for measuring on one or more cells of a secondary component carrier, SCC, with a deactivated SCell; adapts (312) a parameter related to the CA configuration to make it feasible to achieve the target quality, the parameter adapted based on a comparison between the target quality and the PCell interruption probability; and configures (316) the wireless device with the adapted parameter.

    • Embodiments herein relate to a method in a radio base station (12) for scheduling a radio resource to a first user equipment (10). The radio base station (12) is comprised in a radio communications network and controls a number of radio resources to be scheduled for communication to a number of user equipments (10,11). The number of user equipments comprises the first user equipment (10) and being served by the radio base station (12). The scheduling is based on channel quality of channels used by the respective user equipments. The radio base station (12) estimates a first channel quality of a channel used by the first user equipment (10). The radio base station determines a pathloss between the first user equipment (10) and the radio base station (12), and computes a second channel quality of the channel based on the estimated first channel quality and the determined pathloss. The radio base station (12) then schedules a radio resource out of the number of radio resources to the first user equipment (10) based on the second channel quality.
