    • In a mobile network, the transmission of downlink data blocks (303, 307) to one or more terminal devices (200, 210) is accomplished on the basis of a retransmission protocol with a first feedback time (F1) defining a time interval between transmission of a first data block (303) and transmission of a first feedback message (308) being different from a second feedback time (F2) defining a time interval between transmission of a second data block (307) and transmission of a second feedback message (309). The first feedback message (308) indicates whether the first data block (303) was successfully received, and the second feedback message (309) indicates whether the second data block (307) was successfully received. A base station (100) of the mobile network controls the terminal device (200, 210) to send the second feedback message (309) on other resources than used for transmission of the first feedback message (308).

    • A method in a radio communication system (100) for assigning a short-lived Cell Radio Network Temporary Identifier, "C-RNTI", to a first user equipment (110) performing random access to a radio network node (130). The method comprises registering (303, 312) the first user equipment (110) as connected to the radio network node (130), wherein the short-lived C-RNTI is assigned to the first user equipment (110) for identification thereof during a first time period; and transferring (304, 313), from the radio network node (130) to the first user equipment (110), a message for synchronizing the radio network node (130) and the first user equipment (110) with respect to the first time period. Before the first time period has elapsed the method further comprises associating (302), by the radio network node (130), a first extended C-RNTI to the first user equipment (110), wherein the first extended C-RNTI comprises a first set of bits and a second set of bits, wherein number of bits of the first set is equal to number of bits of the short-lived C-RNTI. After the first time period has elapsed the method further comprises maintaining (305, 314) the first user equipment (110) connected to the radio network node (130), allowing (306) the short-lived C-RNTI to be assigned to a second user equipment (120), thereby enabling use of the short-lived C-RNTI for identification of the second user equipment (120) when connected to the radio network node (130); and assigning downlink transmission resources to the first user equipment (110) by utilizing the first extended C-RNTI as a means for identifying the first user equipment (110) on a Physical Downlink Control Channel, PDCCH.

    • Methods and apparatus are provided for mitigating cross-link interference. The method is implemented by a base station of a wireless communication system, the base station serving user terminals in a first cell. The method comprises selecting (610) a primary time division duplex, TDD, configuration designating uplink and downlink subframes for communication with the user terminals in the first cell, and determining (620) uplink subframes of the primary TDD configuration that are overlapping in time with downlink subframes of a TDD configuration used in a second cell. The method also comprises transmitting (630), to a user terminal in the first cell, a request to use a supplemental TDD configuration for transmitting uplink control information, wherein uplink subframes of the supplemental TDD configuration are not overlapping in time with downlink subframes of the TDD configuration used in the second cell.
