    • The present invention relates to a dental implant anchor (100) comprising a coronal portion (110) and a body portion (120) that are continuous with one another, the coronal portion (110) defining the proximal end of the implant anchor (100) and the body portion (120) defining the distal end of the implant anchor (100), said body portion (120) having an inner core (120c) fit with at least one thread (124) extending therefrom along its length; said inner core (120c) defining an internal diameter of said body portion (120) and said at least one thread (124) defining the external diameter of said body portion (120); said threading (124) comprises: an apical side (124a), a coronal side (124c), and a lateral edge (124f) connecting the apical side (124a) and the coronal side (124c), a base (124b) connecting the thread (124) to the core (120c), a thread depth defined between the lateral edge (124f) and the base (124b), said thread depth defining a horizontal axis of said thread (124); and wherein adjacent threads (124) defined between adjacent thread bases (124b) are connected over the external surface of the implant core (120c) defining an inter-thread face (38); at least one of said thread apical side (124a) or said thread coronal side (124c) of said at least one thread (124) being fitted with at least one contour modification (140) along said horizontal axis therein defining at least two sub-segments (142, 144) along the horizontal axis, wherein said core (120c) is configured from at least two sub-segments (120a, 120b), namely a proximal sub-segment (120a) and a distal sub-segment (120b), and wherein said at least one thread (124) has a variable depth that is generally increasing along the length of the proximal sub-segment (120a) in an apical direction, and is generally decreasing along the length of the distal sub-segment (120b) in an apical direction, so that the smallest depth of the thread (124) is adjacent the coronal portion of the core (120c) and the largest depth of the thread (124) may be found between the distal sub-segment (120b) and proximal sub-segment (120a).

    • The present invention relates to a dental implant (1, 1') having a substantially cylindrical shape with a longitudinal axis (A) defining a longitudinal direction, the dental implant (1, 1') including: a coronal section (11) including a coronal end of the dental implant (1, 1'); a threaded region (14) extending apically from the coronal section (11) to an apical tip (15) of the dental implant (1); and an internal blind bore for connection to a secondary part, the internal blind bore including: a stabilizing section (16) which extends apically from the coronal end of the dental implant (1, 1') and a drive and indexing section (17) which extends apically from an apical end of the stabilizing section (16), wherein the drive and indexing section (17) is provided with a plurality of connecting lobes (171) having a concave shape and extending in the longitudinal direction, the connecting lobes (171) being interconnected by respective lobe linking areas (172) also extending in the longitudinal direction, each of the lobe linking areas (172) including: two convex sections (174) extending in the longitudinal direction and adjacent to a respective connecting lobe (171); and a concave section (175) extending in the longitudinal direction between the two convex sections (174). The invention also pertains to a matching secondary part and a combination of the dental implant with the matching secondary part.
