摘要： A method for controlling media presentation is disclosed. A first electronic device (102-1) receives a media control command for a second electronic device (106-1). In response to receiving said command, the first electronic device (102-1) sends a server media control request (112) to a server system (120), and sends a local media control request (116) to a second electronic device (106-1) within a local network (202) to which both the first electronic device (102-1) and the second electronic device (106-1) are connected. The server system (120) may be associated with an IP address outside an IP address space of the local network (202). Hereby it is made possible to present sequences of related media content (e.g. a playlist of songs similar to the song that was playing when the control was selected) without having to navigate through unnecessarily many menus or without having to provide unnecessarily many inputs to the first electronic device.
