摘要： A sheet conveyance device (51) includes a loading section (53), a first conveyance member (80), a separation section (B), a sheet length detector (S4) to detect whether the sheet is longer than a predetermined length slightly longer than a specific sheet size in the sheet conveyance direction, a trailing-edge detector (S3) disposed downstream from the separation section, a leading-edge detector (S1; S2) disposed downstream from the trailing-edge detector a distance smaller than the specific sheet size and from the first conveyance member a distance longer than the specific sheet size, and a controller. When the sheet is equal to or greater than the predetermined length, the controller (100) starts sheet feeding when the trailing-edge detector detects the trailing edge of the sheet, and when the sheet is smaller than that, the controller starts sheet feeding when either the leading-edge detector detects the leading edge of the sheet or the trailing-edge detector detects the trailing edge thereof.

摘要： A sheet feeding device (30) includes a feeder (32), a contact member (56), a movement restricting member (60), a moving mechanism (62), and a controller (150). A leading end of a sheet in a feeding direction is to contact the contact member (56). The movement restricting member locks the contact member (56) to restrict movement of the contact member (56) from a contact position where the contact member (56) contacts the sheet. The moving mechanism (62) moves the movement restricting member (60) between a locking position and a lock releasing position. The contact member (56) takes the contact position by gravity or a biasing force of a biasing part. The controller (150) controls the moving mechanism (62) to move the movement restricting member (60) to the lock releasing position and then to the locking position when a feeding operation of the sheet is finished.
