-a step of impregnation of said cellulose fibers with a solution comprising a tetraalkoxysilane,
-a further step of squeezing said solution from in between the cellulose fiber walls,
and wherein the weight ratio of said solution to the dry weight of said cellulose fibers after said further step is lower than 2.
The treated cellulose fibers, their use for the manufacture of fiber cement products and fiber cement products comprising the treated cellulose fibers are also disclosed.

摘要： The present invention provides cellulose fiber mixtures for use in the production of fiber cement products at least comprising: (i) micro-cellulose fibers having a Schopper-Riegler degree of between about 70° and about 90°, and (ii) unrefined cellulose fibers having a Schopper-Riegler degree of below about 25°, characterized in that the micro-cellulose fibers having a Schopper-Riegler degree of between about 70° and about 90° are present in an amount of between about 15% and about 50%. The present invention further provides for preparing these cellulose fiber mixtures as well as uses of these cellulose fiber mixtures for the preparation of cellulose fiber cement compositions and for the manufacturing of fiber cement products. In addition, the present invention provides cellulose-based fiber cement compositions and products comprising the cellulose fiber mixtures. Finally, the invention relates to uses of these cellulose-based fiber cement products in the building industry.
