    • A roaming home location server is arranged to receive signaling data communicated between a home location server of a first home mobile radio network and a visitor location server of a second visited mobile network. The signaling data is associated with informing the home location server of the location of a mobile user equipment which has roamed from the first home mobile radio network to the second visited mobile network. The signaling data received by the roaming home location server from the visitor location server of the second visited mobile network includes a request to register the roaming mobile user equipment with the visitor location server of the first visited mobile network. The roaming home location server is arranged to register the roaming user equipment with the visitor location server of the first visited mobile network and to communicate the request signaling data to the home location server of the second home mobile radio network, and in response to rejection signaling data representing a rejection of the request to register the roaming mobile user equipment with the visitor location server of the first visited mobile network, to generate further request signaling data which has an effect of causing the home location server of the first home network to accept the registration of the roaming mobile user equipment with the visitor location register of the first visited mobile radio network.

    • A method of analysing network connections used to communicate incoming calls from a first network to a second mobile network. The method comprises detecting routing request data communicated from the first network to the second mobile network. The routing request data provides a request for a temporary identification number required for establishing an incoming call between a calling terminal and a called terminal affiliated with the second mobile network. The temporary identification number is allocated to the called terminal to temporarily identify the called terminal within the second mobile network. The method also comprises identifying, from the routing request data, the first network and detecting the temporary identification number communicated from the second mobile network to the first network in response to the routing request data. The method also comprises detecting an incoming call communicated from the calling terminal via the first network to the second mobile network over a network connection between the first network and the second mobile network, to the called terminal. The method identifies the network connection used to communicate the incoming call from the first network to the second mobile network by correlating the temporary identification number received with the incoming call with the temporary identification number detected in response to the routing request data. By identifying and correlating the identified first networks with the identified network connections with respect to the correlated temporary identification numbers, it is possible to identify which network connections are used by a particular first network in communicating calls to the second mobile network.
