The backrest includes a backrest body (5) fixed to the backrest support member and provided with an opening portion (S2) that opens downward, and a tensile material (50) provided in the backrest body and having a lower end portion that is locked on the backrest body. 摘要： An armrest device (9) for a chair includes a lower support rod (12) that rises at a side of a chair seat (4) and has a tubular upper end portion; and an upper support cylinder (14) that has an armrest (11) provided in an upper end thereof, is externally fitted to the lower support rod (12) so as to be slidable in an up-down direction, and has a plurality of engaging portions therein. 摘要： Provided is a chair in which the rear section of the seat can be raised with good lateral balance, in which the seat is stable, and that has a simple structure and a good appearance. The disclosed chair includes a seat (6) that is pivotally attached by means of a laterally-oriented pivot shaft (9) to a support base (5) supported by (a) leg(s), the rear section of the seat (6) being pivotable in the vertical direction.
