    • The invention relates to a gear pump having two meshing gear wheels (4, 5) configured of a driven gear wheel (4) and a gear wheel (5) moving along with the same. A rotatably supported drive shaft (7) is provided for driving the gear wheel, the shaft being held in the pump housing (1) by bearing means (8.2). A sealing means (9.2) is associated with the drive shaft (7) at the circumference between the gear wheel and the bearing means, the sealing means comprising a pressure ring (10.2) resting against a face of the gear wheel. In order to prevent the gear wheel in the pump housing from starting to run, a second sealing means (9.1) having a second pressure ring (10.1) is disposed on the opposite face of the gear wheel (4) at the circumference of the drive shaft (7) between a second bearing means (8.1) and the gear wheel (4), wherein both pressure rings (10.1, 10.2) have a sealing shoulder (16.1, 16.2) opposite the gear wheel (4), the shoulder being pressed against the face of the gear wheel under the action of a spring means.

    • A gear pump is described with a plurality of gearwheels which engage into one another in order to convey a medium and are held rotatably in a pump housing. One of the gearwheels is driven by a pump shaft which can be coupled to a drive via a coupling end.
