摘要： A soil moisture sensor obtains a moisture content contained in a soil. The soil moisture sensor includes a thermoelectric element disposed in the soil and being able to change a temperature of the soil, a first temperature information acquisition unit acquiring a first temperature information that indicates a temporal change in temperature of the soil due to an operation of the thermoelectric element, a second temperature information acquisition unit acquiring a second temperature information that indicates a temporal change in temperature of the soil due to the operation of the thermoelectric element, and an arithmetic device obtaining moisture information on the basis of the temperature information. The arithmetic device includes a gradient information acquisition unit acquiring a temperature change amount per unit time by utilizing the first temperature information and the second temperature information, and a conversion unit converting the temperature change amount into the moisture content by utilizing conversion information indicating a relationship between the temperature change amount and the moisture content.

摘要： A soil sensor 1 includes a current supply unit 2, an electrode 3 disposed in soil 100, and a processing unit 4 that obtains a water content W and a total ion concentration N in the soil 100 using a temporal change of a measured voltage VM, which is generated at the electrode 3, while a DC current is being supplied to the soil 100. The processing unit 4 includes an information conversion unit 11 that converts a first time t1 and a second time t2 until the measured voltage VM reaches first threshold voltages VH1 and VL1 and second threshold voltages VH2 and VL2 into frequency information using the temporal change of the measured voltage VM, an impedance calculation unit 18 that obtains the impedance of the soil 100, a water content calculation unit 19 that obtains the water content W using the impedance, and a total ion concentration calculation unit 21 that obtains the total ion concentration N using the impedance.
