    • The video and audio data compression system comprises compression processing issuing means for issuing a compression processing command according to a predetermined order, a compression processing device for performing compression processing of moving pictures (video data) and sounds (audio data) (hereinafter referred to as "video and audio data"), and means for interpreting the compression processing commands issued from the compression processing issuing means to control the compression processing device.
