摘要： The invention is directed to a film structure of a hydrophilic film in an anti-fog mirror of a type in which an inorganic oxide film is formed as a hydrophilic film on a surface of a mirror and to a method for manufacturing such film structure. A photocatalyzing TiO 2 film (20) having a thickness within a range from 100nm to 1000nm is formed on a surface of a mirror and a porous SiO 2 film (22) having a thickness within a range from 10nm to 50nm is formed on the TiO 2 film (20). The porous SiO 2 film (22) is adapted to have surface roughness of 2nm or over. A reflecting film (18) is formed on a rear surface (16b) of a transparent glass substrate (16) and then photocatalyzing TiO 2 film (20) and the porous SiO 2 film (22) are formed on a front surface (16a) of the substrate by vacuum deposition while the temperature of the substrate is maintained within a range from 200°C to 450°C.

摘要： A Cr reflecting film (8) is provided on the front surface of a substrate (3). On the front surface of the Cr reflecting film (8) is provided a TiO 2 film (10) consisting of photocatalytic substance (photocatalytic layer comprising photocatalytic substance). On the front surface of the TiO 2 film (10) is provided a porous SiO 2 film (12) (hydrophilic layer comprising hydrophilic substance). In case the thickness of the TiO 2 film (10) is 80nm, the peak of reflectance appears in the vicinity of wavelength of 450nm and a mirror surface (14) appears blue. The blue mirror surface (14) mitigates the glare of the sun light during the day and provides excellent visibility during the night. Owing to the porous SiO 2 film (12), waterdrops are spread to a thin film whereby an anti-fog property can be provided. The distance between the surface of the Cr reflecting film (8) and the mirror surface (14) can be made small and, therefore, occurrence of double images can be prevented.
