摘要： A method and a system for controlling the moisture profile and/or moisture gradient of a paper web for production of at least SC quality paper in a paper machine comprising a calender (1) which has at least two roll stacks (21, 22; 31, 32), of which at least one has at least three rolls and of which at least another one has at least five rolls, and which calender is provided with a pre-moisturizer (7) placed before the calender, in which pre-moisturizer the web is moisturized to a desired pre-moisture content M1, and with at least one intermediate moisturizer (3) arranged between two roll stacks to a desired intermediate moisture content M2 before the last roll stack (31, 32), in which the web is dried to a desired final moisture value M3. In accordance with the invention, for continuously controlling and optimizing the moisture profile and/or moisture gradient of the web, the premoisturizing W1 of the web is controlled by a control parameter of the premoisturizer (7) situated before the calender (1), which control parameter corresponds to the final moisture value M3 of the web.

摘要： A method for producing calendered paper by an on-line manufacturing system comprising at least a paper machine and a multi-nip calender. The method comprises following steps; removing water from a formed paper web by pressing, drying the pressed paper web by at least one dryer, calendering the dried web by the multi-nip calender, measuring a cross machine moisture profile or a variable relative thereto, and altering the moisture of the web so that the moisture profile of the web in cross direction is even when the web enters the first nip of the calender.

In the invention, in order to prevent a coating agent, such as coating dye, from addhering onto a smooth surface of a calender roll, and as a result, the smooth surface of the calender roll from becoming soiled, and an overheating phenomenon, the system includes a second measurement station (10) which is provided with measuring and indicator means for producing an output indicating soiledness of the web (W) or a humidity profile. When the output of the second measurement station (10) indicates excessive soiledness or an uneven humidity profile, the system performs, as a response to the output from the second measurement station (10), at least one of the following functions: cleaning of the surface of the smooth-surfaced calender roll; change of nip load in the calender (5); correction adjustment of the CD-directional humidity profile of the web (W); cutting of the web (W) and conducting it into the pulper; and/or a change of running speed of the web (W).
