    • An optical recording medium having a resin layer of uniform thickness formed while suppressing air sucking in the resin layer and bubbling in the resin layer is obtained. While mounting, on recording medium (1) making use of a circular substrate with center hole (2), disk-shaped cap member (9) having an outer diameter larger than the center hole (2) so that the center hole (2) is plugged, there is formed resin film (A) covering the level difference defined by the cap member (9) and the recording medium (1), the resin film (A) resulting from hardening of liquid resin material (a). Hardening resin material (c) for formation of resin layer (11) is fed on the cap member (9), and the recording medium is rotated so as to achieve rotational stretching of the hardening resin material (c). During the rotational stretching or after the rotational stretching, the hardening resin material (c) is hardened, thereby attaining formation of the resin layer (11) on the recording medium (1).
