摘要： To provide an optical recording medium excellent in the balance of characteristics, which has a sufficient surface hardness and of which the deformation when the environmental temperature and the environmental humidity change is small. An optical recording medium comprising a resin substrate, a recording and reading layer, a cover coat layer which is a cured product of a radiation-curable composition containing a urethane (meth)acrylate (A) and a (meth)acrylate compound (B) other than the urethane (meth)acrylate (A), and a hard coat layer having a surface hardness of at least B in this order, wherein of the cover coat layer, the ratio of the elastic modulus in tension upon absorbing water to saturation to the elastic modulus in tension at 25°C under a humidity of 45% is at least 0.20.

摘要： An optical recording medium having a resin layer of uniform thickness formed while suppressing air sucking in the resin layer and bubbling in the resin layer is obtained. While mounting, on recording medium (1) making use of a circular substrate with center hole (2), disk-shaped cap member (9) having an outer diameter larger than the center hole (2) so that the center hole (2) is plugged, there is formed resin film (A) covering the level difference defined by the cap member (9) and the recording medium (1), the resin film (A) resulting from hardening of liquid resin material (a). Hardening resin material (c) for formation of resin layer (11) is fed on the cap member (9), and the recording medium is rotated so as to achieve rotational stretching of the hardening resin material (c). During the rotational stretching or after the rotational stretching, the hardening resin material (c) is hardened, thereby attaining formation of the resin layer (11) on the recording medium (1).
