摘要： The DC circuit breaker includes: an interruption mechanism portion (16) configured to perform opening between a fixed contact (1) and a movable contact (3), to interrupt DC current; and an arc extinguishing chamber (14) in which a plurality of arc extinguishing plates (15) each obtained by superposing an insulating plate (13) and a grid (12) which has electrical conductivity and has a plate shape, are accommodated in a stacked state at fixed intervals. An interrupting portion having a projecting shape is disposed on either surface of each arc extinguishing plate (15) so as to originate from an edge of the arc extinguishing plate. Thus, the DC circuit breaker has so high interruption performance that no arc leaks from a location on the grid (12) to the surroundings.

摘要： Provided is an air circuit breaker having a drainage structure that enables water entering through a vent to be drained to outside without entering a current-interruption portion and can prevent water entry from outside. An air circuit breaker (100) includes: a current-interruption portion (13); an arc-extinguishing portion (12); an upper casing (14) having a vent (17) and storing the arc-extinguishing portion; a lower casing (15) storing the current-interruption portion; and an intermediate plate (16). The intermediate plate has outer and inner peripheral walls (19) and (21) protruding toward the upper casing side. The outer peripheral wall has a slit (20) at least at one location. An outer peripheral side of the outer peripheral wall is covered by an outer edge portion of the upper casing. Inside of the upper casing and outside of the upper casing and the lower casing communicate with each other via the slit.

摘要： In a DC circuit breaker, in order to achieve life increase by shortening an interruption time and reducing a wear amount of the contact, and the like, it is effective to quickly commutate an arc generated between contacts at the time of interruption to an arc runner. However, it is difficult to achieve high-speed commutation over the entire range from a small current region not larger than a rated value to a large current region such as short-circuit current. Therefore, a fixed-side arc runner (12) is shaped to cover a portion around a fixed contact (1), whereby an arc can be commutated at a high speed from the small current region to the large current region, thereby improving interruption performance.
