    • An air-conditioning apparatus (100, 200, 300) uses R32, a refrigerant mixture containing R32 and HFO1234yf and in which the R32 has a mass percentage of 40 % or higher, or a refrigerant mixture containing R32 and HFO1234ze and in which the R32 has a mass percentage of 15 % or higher as a heat-source refrigerant. The air-conditioning apparatus (100, 200, 300) has a low-pressure shell-structure compressor (1), a first flow switching valve (2), a heat-source-side heat exchanger (3), first flow control devices (9c to 9e), and a plurality of use-side heat exchangers (C to E) that are connected by refrigerant pipes so that a refrigeration cycle is formed. The compressor (1) has a compression chamber that is provided within a sealed container and that has an opening extending between inside and outside of the sealed container. The air-conditioning apparatus (100, 200, 300) is capable of performing a heating operation in which only heating is performed at the use-side heat exchangers (C to E), a cooling operation in which only cooling is performed at the use-side heat exchangers (C to E), and a cooling and heating mixed operation in which heating and cooling are performed in a mixed fashion at the use-side heat exchangers (C to E). The air-conditioning apparatus (100, 200, 300) includes an injection pipe (23) that connects a refrigerant circuit constituting the refrigeration cycle to the opening, and a second flow control device (24) that is provided in the injection pipe (23) and that controls an injection amount of refrigerant to be supplied to the compression chamber. The refrigerant circulating through the refrigeration cycle is injected into the compressor (1) by supplying the refrigerant into the compression chamber via the injection pipe (23) and the opening.
