    • A magnetic head is constituted by a block composed of a magnetic core made of sputtered amorphous magnetic alloy layers (2a, 2b) formed on a non-magnetic substrate (1), a non-magnetic ceramic layer (4) provided on the sputtered layer (2b), and a non-magnetic substrate (5) bonded to the non-magnetic ceramic layer (4) by a bonding glass layer (6). Since the sputtered amorphous magnetic alloy layer (2b) and the bonding glass layer (6) are isolated from each other by the nonmagnetic ceramic layer (4), the properties of the bonding glass layer (6) are protected and do not change, and so a firm bonding strength is maintained. The amorphous ceramic layer (4) is also firmly bonded to the sputtered layer (2b), so that a highly reliable magnetic head can be realized.
