摘要： The invention relates to a security document, comprising a translucent carrier substrate, especially produced of paper and/or plastic, and at least one security element that is applied to the carrier substrate or embedded in the carrier substrate and that shows, when viewed in transmitted light from at least one first side of the security document, at least one first image and that simulates the presence of at least one watermark in the carrier substrate. The security element comprises at least one layer simulating the first watermark in at least some sections thereof, the at least one layer of the security element simulating the first watermark imparting to the security element unexpected optical effects as compared to security elements having conventional watermarks.
