    • The bag for cooking food comprises a sheet body (1) made of an elastomer material, such as platinum catalyzed silicone resistant to high and low temperatures, with a central region (2) surrounded by a perimetrical band (3), a series of holes (4, 4a, 4b) distributed along said perimetrical band (3), and a cord (5) passed through said holes (4, 4a, 4b). A tightening of the cord (5) causes a gathering of said perimetrical band (3) and configures the central region (2) as a container for said food. The bag can be submerged in cold or hot liquid or introduced in an oven. The central region (2) is preferably provided with cuts or openings (6). The method comprises a molding and vulcanization operation for forming the sheet body (1) without cuts or openings (6) and a cutting or die-cutting operation for forming cuts or openings (6) in the central region.
