    • The present disclosure relates to a depolarizer based on a metamaterial, which comprises a plurality of sheet layers parallel with each other. Each of the sheet layers has a sheet substrate and a plurality of man-made microstructures attached on the sheet substrate. The sheet substrate is divided into a plurality of identical unit bodies. Each of the unit bodies and one of the man-made microstructures that is attached thereon form a cell that has an anisotropic electromagnetic property. Each of the sheet layers has at least two cells whose optical axes are unparallel with each other. According to the depolarizer based on a metamaterial of the present disclosure, at least two cells whose optical axes are unparallel with each other are disposed in each of the metalmaterial sheet layers. Therefore, when an electromagnetic wave having a uniform polarization property propagates through the metamaterial, at least part of the electromagnetic wave will be changed in polarization property, thus achieving the purpose of depolarization. Moreover, as compared to the prior art, the depolarizer of the present disclosure features a simple structure and is easy to be implemented.

    • The present disclosure discloses a unipolar antenna, a wireless access apparatus and a wireless router. The unipolar antenna of the present disclosure comprises a medium substrate, as well as a power feeding point, a feeder line and a metal structure that are disposed on a surface of the medium substrate. The feeder line is connected to the power feeding point, and the feeder line and the metal structure are coupled with each other. The unipolar antenna, the wireless access apparatus and the wireless router of the present disclosure can transmit or receive electromagnetic signals of two or more different wavebands simultaneously so that they can operate within multiple operation wavebands in a single-frequency mode and operate within different operation wavebands simultaneously in a multi-frequency mode. Thereby, the antenna can be miniaturized on the premise of satisfying the performance requirements of the communication devices.

    • A metamaterial for separating an electromagnetic wave beam is disclosed. Two kinds of man-made microstructures are attached on a substrate of the metamaterial. The first man-made microstructures each have a principal optical axis parallel to a first electric field direction, and the second man-made microstructures each have a principal optical axis parallel to a second electric field direction. The metamaterial comprises a first region and a second region. The first man-made microstructures in the first region have the largest geometric size and the first man-made microstructures in other regions increase in geometric size continuously in a direction towards the first region; and the second man-made microstructures in the second region have the largest geometric size and the second man-made microstructures in other regions increase in geometric size continuously in a direction towards the second region. By virtue of the principal that responses of the man-made microstructures to the electric fields are related to structures thereof and the principle that an inhomogeneous metamaterial can deflect electromagnetic waves, the metamaterial of the present disclosure can separate an incident electromagnetic wave beam, flexibly control exiting angles of the separated electromagnetic waves and allow for separation of a large-area electromagnetic wave beam.

    • An antenna comprises a medium substrate and grounding units attached on the medium substrate. The antenna further comprises a metal structure attached on the medium substrate. The metal structure comprises an electromagnetic response unit, a metal open ring enclosing the electromagnetic response unit and a feeding point connected to an end of the metal open ring. The electromagnetic response unit comprises an electric-field coupling structure. This design increases the physical length of the antenna equivalently, so an RF antenna operating at an extremely low frequency can be designed within a very small space. This can eliminate the physical limitation imposed by the spatial area when the conventional antenna operates at a low frequency, and satisfy the requirements of miniaturization, a low operating frequency and broadband multi-mode services for the mobile phone antenna. Meanwhile, a solution of a lower cost is provided for design of the antenna of wireless communication apparatuses.
