    • The invention relates to a closing device for an injection molding machine, comprising a stationary mold platen and a movable mold platen, comprising driving means for moving the movable mold platen relative to the stationary mold platen, comprising columns between the two mold platens, and comprising pressure pads for generating a closing force, each said pressure pad having a cylinder and a piston which can be moved in said cylinder and which is connected to a column. The aim of the invention is to allow a simple disassembly of a column without having to disassemble the corresponding pressure pad as well and remove same from the platen. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the cylinder (5) of one or more of the pressure pads (4) has an opening on each cylinder base (8a, 8b), the diameter of said opening being greater than the diameter of the column (3) associated with said pressure pad (4). An annular gap (9a, 9b) is formed between the column (3) and the cylinder (5) in the region of each cylinder base (8a, 8b). A sleeve (7) is provided through which the column (3) can be passed, said sleeve (7) being connectable to the column in a removable manner. The sleeve (7) has a portion (A) that forms the piston, and the sleeve (7) has an end portion (B, C) at each end of the piston, said end portion extending into one of the annular gaps (9a, 9b).

    • The invention relates to a toggle lever clamping unit for an injection molding machine, wherein the cross clamp (5) can be linearly moved along the longitudinal axis (A) of the machine by way of a first drive (30, 40). In order to be able to downsize said drive, according to the invention, one or several additional drives (8, 9) are provided between the cross clamp (5) and the primary levers (3a, 3b; 4a, 4b), which drives are operationally connected to the connecting levers (6, 7). By way of said drives, the connecting levers (6, 7) can be moved essentially in a direction that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the machine (A) relative to the cross clamp (5) and/or relative to the primary levers (3a, 3b; 4a, 4b), in order to make it possible to put the primary levers (3a, 3b; 4a, 4b) in the fully extended position, and/or that length-adjustable connection levers (6', 7') are provided between the primary levers (3a, 3b; 4a, 4b) and the cross clamp (5), wherein for each of the connecting levers (6', 7'), at least one additional drive (20, 21) is provided, with which the length of the respective connecting lever (6', 7') can be adjusted in order to make it possible to put the primary levers (3a, 3b; 4a, 4b) in the fully extended position.
