    • A valve housing of the control valve has a communication passage communicating a suction port of the compressor with a crank chamber of the compressor. A main valve is provided in the valve housing for opening and closing the communication passage. A spring member resiliently biases the main valve toward its closed position. A pressure actuated unit moves the main valve toward the open position by receiving a suction pressure of the compressor. A flow adjustment valve is disposed in the valve housing for adjusting an open degree of a leak passage and receives the discharge pressure exerting a force on the flow adjustment valve toward its closed position. The flow adjustment valve increases a leak flow rate of a fluid flowing from a discharge port of the compressor to a crank chamber through a leak passage when the compressor provides a lower discharge pressure. A correction spring is disposed between the main valve and the flow adjustment valve. The correction spring resiliently biases a valve element of the main valve toward the open position and increases in spring force with transfer of a valve element of the flow adjustment valve toward its closed position.

    • An air-conditioning system with a refrigerant circulation circuit, which has improved control precision for maintaining a compartment temperature and improved response characteristics. The refrigerant circulation circuit includes a variable displacement type compressor, the discharge capacity of which is controlled by a control valve. The control valve CV detects a differential pressure Δt between two pressure monitoring points in the refrigerant circulation circuit as an index for estimating the refrigerant discharge capacity of the variable displacement type compressor CM and performs feedback control of the discharge capacity of the compressor such that the differential pressure converges to a set differential pressure. A controller 70 determines or recomputes the set differential pressure based on information from a mode switching unit or an air-flow-rate switch and instructs the control valve to change the set differential pressure accordingly. The switch information from the mode switching unit or the air-flow-rate switch signals the controller 70 of a sudden change in the cooling load before the occurrence of the change or at the same time as the change occurs.

    • A displacement control device comprises a control valve. The control valve controls the pressure in a crank chamber. A switch device (40) located between the actuator (42) and the power source (G). A controller (37) determines a target value of the current supplied to the actuator (42) in accordance with an external condition. When the target value is changed to a new value, the controller (37) controls the switching of the switch device such that the current is intermittently supplied from the power source to the actuator before the current is set to the new target value. This permits the displacement of the compressor to be smoothly and rapidly changed.
