With respect to the automatic emission control circuit, Amin satisfies the following conditional expression, (A - 1) EV ≤ Amin ≤ (A + 0.5) EV, where Amin represents a minimum exposure value for a recording medium on which a specified photographic object is recorded when the photographic object that is located at a distance falling within a range from a specified shortest distance to a distance determined by both a guide number obtained when the flash emitting portion emits light at full emission and the aperture stop, is photographed, and A represents a theoretical exposure value.
