    • In a battery system for use in a vehicle as power supply, a plurality of battery groups, each configured to output a rated voltage while being charged, in parallel to an input/output system line by a system connection device (12), BMU devices (13N) monitor the battery groups, respectively, determining whether the battery groups enter an abnormal state, and any battery group entering the abnormal state is designated and disconnected from the input/output system line. If a predetermined of battery groups are found to enter an abnormal state, as determined by the BMU devices (13N), a system controller (14) generates an alarm, informing the user that the battery system may not provide power in the required amount. Thus, the battery system has fewer batteries and can therefore be smaller and lighter, while providing power in a required amount, and excels in operability even any battery group is detected to enter an abnormal state.

    • According to one embodiment, a measurement system includes a wireless relay device (10), a moving-object-mounted terminal (20) and a data processor (30). The moving-object-mounted terminal (20) is mounted to a moving object within a wireless area formed by the wireless relay device (10). The moving-object-mounted terminal (20) includes a Global Positioning System (GPS) unit (21) and a wireless unit (22). The GPS unit (21) acquires positional data of the moving object and time data indicating the time when the positional data has been acquired by GPS. The wireless unit (22) converts the positional data and the time data into a wireless signal, and transmits the wireless signal to the wireless relay device (10). The data processor (30) receives the wireless signal from the moving-object-mounted terminal (20) via the wireless relay device (10), and calculates time required for the moving object to move a predetermined distance.
