    • This invention relates to an improvement in an injection compression molding machine and method which injects and supplies a molten resin into a cavity defined by molds and then conducts compression step of pressing. The present invention relates to an injection compression molding machine and method which has stable quality and high productivity while preventing recesses of molded articles and the drop of precision resulting from the escape of the resin at the time of compression and from the variance of the mold cavity gaps by taking these problems into consideration. To accomplish these objects, the present invention shuts off the gate at the compression step, makes again injection after the compression step and supplies the resin. A mechanical fixing mechanism supports the back of a movable mold lest any variance of the gap between the molds should occur by the pressure at the time of injection, and the resin can be injected and supplied while the gap between the molds is restricted. In this manner, molded articles having good appearance and high dimensional precision can be molded with high stable quality and with high productivity.
