A scraper holder (20, 22) for respectively one scraper (12, 14) is pivotably fixed to the pivot bearings (24, 26). An expandable element is arranged between the scraper holder (20, 22) and the retaining rod (28) and close to the pivot bearing (24, 26). One of the expandable elements (50 or 54) is arranged on one side of one of the pivot bearing (24 or 26) and the other expandable element (54 or 50) is arranged on the other side of the other pivot bearing. The invention also relates to a device for retaining scrapers (12, 14) for cleaning the surface of a cylinder (16), comprising a retaining rod (28) on which a first retaining frame (39) is fixed by means of a first pivot bearing (24), and a second retaining frame (49) is fixed by means of a second pivot bearing (26).
