摘要： Disclosed herein are embodiments for Machine Type Communication (MTC). The techniques disclosed may reduce signaling by transmitting MTC data over planes and avoiding a full cycle of connection procedures typically required for transmission. MTC data may be directly appended to a control plane message, in addition, in order to reduce the signaling load, a WTRU may autonomously release the connection without being told, by the network. Techniques may be used to indicate a network provider's machine type communication (MTC) capability. The MTC services or capabilities may be provided by a respective network operator may be communicated to a WTRU.

摘要： Systems and method for uplink feedback for multipoint transmission of high-speed downlink packet access (MP-HSDPA) that may improve downlink transmission efficiency and cell coverage. For example, Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) and/or Precoding Control Indicator (PCI) that may be calculated to accommodate the needs of coordinated dynamic network scheduling. Additionally, various frame structures may be generated for the uplink feedback that may carry multiple CQI and HARQ-ACK feedbacks from MP-HSDPA. The frame structures may also address asynchronous downlink transmissions between two cells. Moreover, HS- DPCCH power offset settings for both CQI and HARQ-ACK fields that may be modified and/or created to ensure reliable uplink feedback transmission.

The WTRU may receive an indication from the network to fallback using a random access channel, e.g. a Release 99 Random Access Channel (R99 RACH), a Release 99 Physical Random Access Channel (R99 PRACH), etc. The indication may be received via an acquisition indicator (E-AI). The indication may be a value of the E-AI. The WTRU may determine whether a condition is met. The WTRU may transmit the uplink information over the R99 PRACH if the condition is met.

The methods may include an in-device interference event (e.g. an interference situation), and the processing of events may depend on the priority of the technologies. A handover to another frequency or radio access technology (RAT) may occur in case a co-existing technology may be activated. The network may signal to the device a list of frequencies or RATs that may be allowed to measure and handoff to. A network may provide a scaling value that the device may use to speed up reaction to the interference. The device may apply a scaling factor to an "out of synch" counter and/or the radio link failure (RLF) timer used for the RLF procedure. The device may apply different scaling factors for the measurements and time to trigger events. The device may trigger a report to the network requesting gaps for an alternate RAT.

In addition, a user equipment (UE) assigned a common E-DCH resource may not be allowed to perform cell reselection. Thus, maintaining the assignment of a common E-DCH resource to a given UE for more than a few hundred milliseconds may result in unacceptable inter-cell interference, for example, when the UE moves closer to a neighboring cell controlled by a non-serving Node B. To overcome inter-cell interference and allow a more extensive utilization of the Cell_FACH state, a method may be used to detect and/or control inter-cell interference.

摘要： An interference randomization method in a user equipment, UE, and a corresponding UE are disclosed. A set of control information bits comprising ACK/NACK bits are encoded to generate encoded control information bit. The encoded control information bits are scrambled to generate scrambled control information bits and the scrambled control information bits are modulated to generate modulated symbols. A physical uplink control channel, PUCCH, ACK/NACK resource index is determined and a first orthogonal sequence index, a second orthogonal sequence index, and a cyclic shift for a demodulation reference signal, DMRS, are determined wherein each of the first orthogonal sequence index, the second orthogonal sequence index, and the cyclic shift is determined based the PUCCH ACK/NACK resource index. The modulated symbols are speaded block-wise using a first orthogonal sequence indicated by the first orthogonal sequence index and a second orthogonal sequence indicated by the second orthogonal sequence index and the cyclic shift to the DMRS are applied. The DMRS and the block-wise spread modulated symbols are transmitted on a PUCCH.
