    • This application provides a channel measurement method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: receiving a plurality of reference signals in a plurality of first frequency domain units in a same time domain unit, where the plurality of reference signals are respectively precoded by using precoding matrices corresponding to the first frequency domain units in which the plurality of reference signals are located, and precoding matrices corresponding to at least two different first frequency domain units in the plurality of first frequency domain units are different; generating a PMI based on the plurality of reference signals, where the PMI indicates a plurality of codewords corresponding to a plurality of second frequency domain units, the plurality of second frequency domain units and the plurality of first frequency domain units belong to a same frequency domain resource, and the plurality of codewords are used for determining a downlink channel; and sending the PMI. According to the method provided in embodiments of this application, precision of reconstructing the downlink channel may be improved.

    • Embodiments of this application provide a transmit channel initial phase correction method and an apparatus. The method includes: A base station obtains K downlink channel weight matrices based on K pieces of downlink channel information sent by K UEs, where the downlink channel information is fed back by the UE in response to a preset reference signal sent by the base station, the downlink channel weight matrix is an N T × rank-dimensional matrix, and rank is a quantity of signal streams received by the UE; obtains K × rank first initial phase difference matrices and K × rank second initial phase difference matrices based on the K downlink channel weight matrices and a first polarization direction and a second polarization direction of transmit channels of the base station; obtains a cell initial phase difference matrix based on the K × rank first initial phase difference matrices and the K × rank second initial phase difference matrices; and implements initial phase correction of the transmit channels of the base station based on the cell initial phase difference matrix. In this application, initial phases of the transmit channels can be further corrected without changing a structure of the base station, to avoid additional hardware costs.
