    • Embodiments relate generally to methods and systems for detecting pressure. A pressure sensor assembly may comprise a sensor unit having a pressure input port on one side, the sensor unit comprising a printed circuit board; a pressure sensor secured to a side of the printed circuit board; a support secured to the side of the printed circuit board, the support circumferentially surrounding the pressure sensor and defining the pressure input port; and a media isolation layer comprising a first media isolation layer applied adjacent to the pressure sensor, and a second media isolation layer comprising a material different from the first media isolation layer located between the first media isolation layer and the pressure input port, wherein the media isolation layer is configured to transfer a pressure caused by a sense media to the pressure sensor.

    • In an embodiment, a method of sensing a flow comprises performing a measurement cycle for a first period of time, powering off the at least one upstream resistive element and the at least one downstream resistive element for a second period of time, and performing another measurement cycle for a third period of time. Performing the measurement cycle comprises supplying a current to the upstream resistive element and the downstream resistive element arranged in a bridge, resistively heating the upstream resistive element and the downstream resistive element to a temperature above an ambient temperature, and detecting an imbalance in the bridge resulting from a temperature difference between the at least one upstream resistive element and the at least one downstream resistive element in response to the flow of a fluid past the flow sensor.

    • A pressure sensor assembly having a sensor unit, a pressure port, and an electrical connector. The sensor unit may include a printed circuit board (PCB), a pressure sensor, a support, and a media isolation layer. The PCB may have a first side and an opposite second side, where the pressure sensor may be secured to the first side. The support may also be secured to the first side of the PCB and may circumferentially surround the pressure sensor and/or may define a media sensing opening. The media isolation layer (e.g., a gel or other material) may be provided in the media sensing opening and encase the pressure sensor, where the media isolation layer may transfer a pressure provided by the media in the pressure port to the pressure sensor and may act as a barrier between the media and the pressure sensor.

In one illustrative embodiment, a flow sensor assembly (38) includes a housing (40) with an inlet (88) flow port, an outlet flow port, a fluid channel (12) extending between the inlet flow port (88) and the outlet flow port (90), and a bypass channel (62) having a pair of taps (64) fluidly connected to the fluid channel (12) at separate locations. A flow sensor (10) for sensing a measure related to a flow rate of a fluid flowing through the fluid channel (12) can positioned in the bypass channel (62). A pressure differential between the two taps (64) of the bypass channel (62) can drive a fraction of a fluid flowing through the fluid channel (12) through the bypass channel (62). The flow sensor assembly (38) may be configured to achieve, control, and/or balance a desired fraction of fluid flow (14) through the bypass channel (62) and past the flow sensor (10).
