    • In a high-throughput cell assay apparatus, a cell-and-electrode chip conveying apparatus (105) moves from a cell storage (101) to a measuring portion (102), and then to a cell-and-electrode chip disposal portion (108). Thereafter, it is determined if the electrode chip after being used should be re-used, again, or not, by referring to a condition for exchanging the electrode chip. When not be re-used, again, the cell-and-electrode chip conveying apparatus shifts the electrode chip from the measuring portion to the cell-and-electrode chip disposal portion, thereby disposing the electrode chip. The conveying apparatus moves from an exchangeable electrode chip storage (109) to the measuring portion, thereby position a new electrode chip onto the measuring portion.
